Pride and Prejudice

Published by bbabu007 at 11:29 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Earlier when I was in Delhi,
My friends came to visit me and tour.
I booked a taxi,
which happened to be driven by an old Sardarji.
Upon seeing the guy,
my friends and I made a billion
Sardarji jokes during the whole trip.
But the Sardarji didn’t speak a word.
After the ride, I gave him the fare,
he gave me the exact change from the meter.
Then he said,
“You’ve made many Sardarji jokes,
unknowningly, being young.”
Gave me 1 rupee coin,
asking me a favor to give it
to the first Sardar beggar I see in Delhi.
Believe it or not, I still have that coin with me…
I searched all over Delhi,
but couldn’t find a single Sardar beggar.
Only then I came out know that
Sardarjis would be proprietors
by owning shops, garages, dhabas…
but will never beg at all.
And we here are cracking jokes on Sardarjis
by roving streets without work.
They are people of pride…
